Peer Review Process
Peer Review Process
The first step is for the authors to submit the manuscript with a requisition for publication. The manuscript consists of research findings, methodology, data analysis, result analysis and conclusion. Next comes the editorial board's assessment of the manuscript. The editor-in-chief analyses the suitability of the manuscript. The alignment of the manuscript, the manuscript’s appropriateness for the journal publication, the creativity of the authors, the significance of the research topic and the ethical guidelines are under the scanner by the editorial board.
In the next step, the manuscripts are assigned to peer reviewers to evaluate the paper's quality parameters. The peer reviewers are experts in the field, with vast experience and extensive knowledge of the subject under study for the research publication.
The peer reviewers are allowed to provide suggestions to improve the quality of the manuscript. The manuscripts are read by the reviewer word by word. After careful reading, they evaluate various aspects of the manuscript, the relevance of the research topic, novelty, aim and objectives, the methodology adopted, presentation quality, adherence to the ethical standards and the interpretation of the results.
Keeping in view of the peer reviewers’ comments and suggestions, the editor-in-chief may either accept the manuscript with or without any modification or accept the manuscript with minor or major revisions or reject the manuscript due to the sub-standard of the manuscript. In case of revision, the authors revise and resubmit the manuscript to the journal for further scrutiny and subsequent publication, if the revision is found satisfactory. However, the Editor-in-Chief evaluates the paper and makes the final decision.
Manuscripts accepted for publication are copy-edited for grammar, punctuation, print style, and format. Page proofs are sent to the corresponding author. The corresponding author is expected to return the corrected proofs within two days. It may not be possible to incorporate corrections received after that period. The whole process, from submission of the manuscript to the final decision and sending and receiving proofs, is completed online.
